Board of Directors
President – Stephen Jardine
Stephen is a chartered accountant and a partner of the international firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Stephen is married to Rachelle and has two sons Robert and Sean, who both spent over 10 years with the club before going on to university, with Robert playing for the 1st team at Loughborough, the #1 sports university in the UK. His family is ‘football mad’ – each supporting different teams in the EPL, adding some spice to life! Stephen is the longest serving member of the club, after our founder David Porter, and has overseen many projects and changes during his time at Kickstart. His passion for the club, including the plans and goals yet to be achieved, is routed in his desire for Kickstart to be #1 and to be the catalyst for change and inspiration to other football clubs in Barbados and the region.
Treasurer – Christine Noel
Secretary – Michele Yearwood
Michele Yearwood has been a part of Kickstart FC since her son Kyle started at four years old; he is 19 years old now. Kyle is in Canada at school, where he gained a place in part because of his commitment to football and his club, which she attributes to the support of Dave ‘Piggy’ Porter and his wonderful coaching team throughout the years.
Michele is committed to volunteerism. She has been an active member of the Kickstart family from her son’s entry into the club. She was recently elected to serve as Secretary of the Board of Directors. She thinks it essential to show our children that volunteering and being charitable is essential. Her mantra is “Life is about US and not just ME”.
Michele has worked in Tourism for over 30 years, today she manages a small hotel and is the host for several short-term rental properties. As member of the board, Michele looks forward to continuing the effort to keep Kickstart FC as the best club and family in Barbados.

He has been a member of KickStart for the past 2 years, where his eldest plays for the U9s. Luke is frequently found on the match side-lines cheering and encouraging the young players of KickStart. Luke is extremely passionate about football and as a newly elected member of the KickStart board, he is very much looking forward to supporting the growth and development of the player, team, coach, organisation, facilities and membership.
Alison Deane is a retired grandmother. Her interest in Kickstart is rooted in the membership of her twin grandsons, who play on the U17 team. In October 2015, she was asked if she would volunteer to manage the Kickstart Bar and has recently been elected to serve on the KickStart Board of Directors. Alison can often be found on a Saturday morning in our tiny kitchen preparing grilled ham, bacon, egg and cheese cutters. She says it’s a particular joy for her to see our players of different ages enjoying the clubhouse and coming together over football – this way team and club spirit can be built and experienced off the field as much as on.
Ryan Evelyn is a business executive in the international shipping industry. He has twin boys who are currently on the Kickstart U17 team and also the Barbados National U17 squad. Ryan has been a member of Kickstart for almost 3 years. In addition to being recently elected to the Board of Directors, Ryan also sits on the tour fundraising committee as treasurer and assists coach Kent Hall in managing the U17 team. He is affectionately known to the Kickstart family as the resident Grill Master / Barista and is often seen at the club in command of the BBQ and espresso machine.
