KickStart Coaches Awarded CONCACAF C-License Certificate
KickStart coaches Kent Hall and Trevor “Tom” Joseph have been awarded the first ever C-License certificates in the CONCACAF region.
The C-License is a new initiative by CONCACAF, football’s governing body for North America, Central American and the Caribbean, to raise the sport’s standards by focusing on improved coaching. To qualify for the course, participants had to have successfully completed the CONCACAF D-License, offered in Barbados in 2014 and 2015.
The coaches participated in an eight day course held at the Barbados Football Association (BFA) that focused on principles of play, attacking and penetration techniques, fitness training, coaching practices and other components essential to football coaches. The course, which took place in April, was led by coaching experts Heather Dyche (USA), Joe Supe (Guatemala), Neal Ellis (Guatemala) and Lennie Lake (St. Kitts & Nevis).
Both coaches were full of praise for the programme, saying that it provided advanced learning due to the depth of information it provided. The course attracted 30 participants, of which 18 were successful. They were praised for their stellar performance by CONCACAF General Secretary Mr. Philippe Maggio.
