U17 Girls Off to Puerto Rico
Congratulations to KickStart girls Kerry Trotman and Caitlin Padmore!
The Barbados Under 17 National Girls Football Team departed the island this morning for San Juan – Puerto Rico. The girls will be taking part in the final round of the CFU U17 Girls Championship. These matches which are being hosted by Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol at Estadio Juan Roman Loubriel from November 13-22 are a precursor for the Under 17 CONCACAF finals in Grenada in March 2016 as well as the FIFA Women U17 World Cup in Jordan in September and October 2016.
Barbados will be competing in Group two against defending champions Trinidad & Tobago, Haiti and Dominica Republic. Their opening match will be against Haiti on November 14th at 7:00 pm.
*UPDATE: While the team lost their games, we extend a heartfelt congratulations to Caitlin for scoring her first international goal against the DR.
